    Dr. C.H.Mehta, GGM, Head GEOPIC and Sh. K.Ramakrishna, SG(S), Geophysical Services, Chennai were nominated by ONGC to attend the 66th EAGE Conference & Exhibition at Paris held during June 7-10, 2004. While Dr. C.H. Mehta was nominated by ONGC and Shri K. Ramakrishna was nominated by SPG, India to showcase the activities of SPG, India at the free booth offered by EAGE.

    The delegation made a presentation at GEOPIC, Dehradun on 16-07-2004 to the SPG Members on their visit.

    Due to the persistent efforts of SPG-India, the Distinguished Instructor’s Short Course (DISC) 2004 of SEG was organized by SPG-Chennai Chapter at Savera Hotel, Chennai on 2nd August, 2004. Dr. Paul Weimer, Professor of Geology, University of Colorado and Director of Energy and Minerals Studies Centre delivered an excellent presentation on “Petroleum systems of deep water settings“.
