Jaipur 2025

Mr. Pankaj Jain, Secretary, MoPNG inaugurated the SPG’s 15th Biennial International Conference and Exposition of the Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG India), held from 26-28 October 2025 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), marked a landmark milestone in India’s geoscientific journey. With the theme “Rock to Cloud: Geo-Exploration Empowering Energy Evolution,” the conference served as a premier platform for advancing geosciences, showcasing technological innovation, and strengthening collaboration across industry, academia, and global societies.

Kochi 2023

Dr. V. P. Joy, Former Chief Secretary of the Government of Kerala, inaugurated the SPG’s 14^th International Conference and Exposition themed "New Age Geosciences: A Fulcrum for Energy Trilemma" on November 3, 2023, at the Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre (LBICC) in Kochi, Kerala. The LBICC served as an exquisite venue for the opening session, bustling with the presence of numerous E&P industry veterans, service provider company representatives, sponsors, esteemed global geoscientists, academic experts, exhibitors, authors, keynote speakers, delegates, spouses, guests, students, and members of the print and electronic media.

Kochi 2020

SPG’s 13th International Conference and Exposition on the theme “Eenrgy Sustainability: Challenging New Frontiers”– Kochi 2020 was inaugurated by Mr. S C L Das, IAS, DG-DGH on 23rd Feb, 2020 at LBICC, Kochi, Kerala. LBICC provided a grand setting for the Inaugural Session that was choc-a-bloc with the attendance of several E&P Industry Captains, Representatives of Service Provider Companies and Sponsors, Eminent Geo-scientists from across the world, Experts from the Academia, Exhibitors, Authors, Keynote Speakers, Delegates & Spouses, Guests and Students from Schools and Colleges and Members of the print and electronic media.

The 12th International Conference & Exposition of SPG India was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of PNG and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, at JECC Jaipur on 17th Nov 2017.

Hyderabad 2012

The Society of Petroleum Geophysicists, India (SPG) organised its 9th International Conference and Exposition on Petroleum Geophysics on 16-18 February, 2012 at Hyderabad International Conventional Centre (HICC), Hyderabad, the state of the art and best venue in India. The event, ‘Hyderabad2012’ was supported by SEG, USA and EAGE, Netherlands. The Convention Centre is located in the centre of a dedicated industrial area of the emerging high-tech city.

Kolkata 2006

Society of Petroleum Geophysicists, India organized its 6th international Conference and Exposition at Science city, Kolkata during 9th to 11th January, 2006 in association with SEG and EAGE. The conference for the first time was held under enhanced level-III+ support from SEG, USA for technical and organizational enrichment. President (Elect) of SEG and President EAGE both participated in the conference.
