Abstract

Total magnetic field intensity data has been collected over three circular features reported as volcanic vents in Deccan volcanic province near Jabalpur (M.P.). Total field magnetic anomaly of the order of -900 to 1400 nT (Nano Tesla) has been observed over the three circular features in the area but there are no isolated or elliptical magnetic anomalies that can be attributed to the presence of deep-seated anomalous source like vent. Basement topography is determined using Werner deconvolution technique, applied to the total field magnetic data acquired over the area. Relatively higher depth values have been observed over the circular features.
