Abstract

An attempt has been taken to compute cleat volume (i.e. porosity) and permeability in a part of CBM reservoir around three wells in Jharia Coalfield. Short Normal resistivity log has been used to calculate cleat volume/porosity for coal seams, lying at more than 1000m depth. Temperature gradient, recorded in the wells, varies from 2.220C per 100m to 3.440 C per 100m.
