Abstract

Sequence stratigraphic approach provides an understanding of depositional sequences & facies variation influenced by sea level fluctuation in definite time. Its resolution can range from basin level first order to reservoir level fourth/fifth/(or higher) order referred as higher resolution sequence stratigraphy (HRSS). Magalhaes et al., 2020 opined that HRSS rationalises and optimises hydrocarbon production and hence is an indispensable methodology for reservoir geology.
