Among the various Meso-to-Neoproterozoic (1.9-1.6 Ga) intracratonic sedimentary basins, the Cuddapah basin is the second-largest Proterozoic basin of India, is aerially most extensive, and has significant economic potential resources. Tectonic events like magmatic intrusions of dykes, sills, and magmatism shaped the basin architecture and depositional boundaries, and impacted the sediment accumulation. We carried out a gravity and magnetic data imaging in the region using high-resolution gravity data acquired by the Geological Survey of India (GSI). A prominent high Bouguer anomaly in the southwestern part, which is interpreted as a highdensity intrusive mafic body at ⁓10 km depth below the mid-crustal layer. The maximum sedimentary thickness is found to be ~5-6 km using Euler Deconvolution and Source Parameter Imaging filter techniques. These results provide new insight into the basin architecture of the central Cuddapah Basin, controlled by inherited basement structure, and provide evidence of their persistent influence on the subsequent basin evolution.
