The Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG) BHU Student Chapter, under the Department of Geophysics, organized an insightful talk on "Electrical and Heliborne Geophysics for Groundwater Applications" on Tuesday, May 7th, starting at 3:00 PM. The event was conducted online, allowing participants to join from various locations via a Google Meet link.
The session was led by Dr. Subash Chandra, a renowned expert in the field of geophysics. He is the Chief Scientist and Head of the Electrical and Heliborne Geophysics Division at CSIR-NGRI Hyderabad. Dr. Chandra has made significant contributions to the advancement of geophysical methods for groundwater exploration and management. His extensive research and expertise in electrical and heliborne geophysical techniques have greatly enhanced the understanding and application of these methods in various geological studies.
This event was a great opportunity for students and professionals to learn from a leading scientist in the field, emphasizing the importance of modern geophysical approaches in solving real-world problems.
The SPG BHU Student Chapter, under the Department of Geophysics, presented an engaging event titled "क्षितिज: Let's Explore the Earth's Horizon"for the academic session 2023-24. The title (Kshitiz), meaning "horizon" in Hindi, symbolizes the endless pursuit of knowledge and exploration. The event focused on exploring various aspects of Earth's geophysical and geological phenomena, fostering a deeper connection with the planet's natural systems.
The event highlighted the SPG BHU Student Chapter's dedication to promoting geoscience education and fostering an environment of innovation and discovery. Participants also had opportunities to connect via the chapter's social media platforms on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
